Pakistan Latest News: Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir met newly elected Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for the first time on Wednesday (06 March 2024) and discussed professional and security related issues. Earlier, a day earlier, Pakistan Army had congratulated Shahbaz Sharif on assuming the post.

Army Chief General Munir met Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s residence in Islamabad to congratulate him and wish him all the best for taking over as the country’s 24th Chief Executive. Shahbaz formally assumed charge on Monday, about a month after the general elections held in Pakistan on February 8.

According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), during the meeting, views were also exchanged on professional matters of the Pakistani Army and security matters. It was also said that important issues including national security were discussed in the meeting. On this occasion, the Army Chief congratulated and congratulated the Prime Minister on his assumption of charge.

Shahbaz Sharif also received congratulations from India

Pakistan’s new Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has also been congratulated by India. The Prime Minister of the country sent him a congratulatory message through social media. He wrote, “Congratulations to Shehbaz Sharif on taking oath as the Prime Minister of Pakistan.”
